Sermon: A Doctor for the Sick (Mark 2:13–17)

This is the audio (29:58, 10.2 MB) of a sermon I preached at New Calvary Church in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on March 10, 2024. The Scripture text is Mark 2:13–17.

The church asked me to record the sermon in advance for online presentation–you can watch that on YouTube.

Here is an excerpt:

We cannot forgive sins or heal like Jesus. We are not “the doctors,” but we can bring people to the Doctor, the Great Physician, like the friends who brought the paralyzed man. We will find that some people in our lives know they need a doctor—and others will have a harder time seeing that they need a doctor. Our job is not to heal, but to bring people to the Healer. And like Jesus, we should not separate ourselves off from those who are in need of healing.
