Review of “Sit at My Right Hand”

Lester L. Grabbe (Hull) has reviewed my book, Sit At My Right Hand, in the latest edition of The Expository Times. Here is an excerpt:

The author’s cautious conclusions—that the Chronicler was arguing (in contrast to some other biblical passages) that Benjamin was always a ‘right hand’ to Judah and had always supported the dynasty of David and the cult site of Jerusalem—seem well supported. His discussion also helps to explain how Benjaminites could call themselves ‘Jews/Judaeans’ while also maintaining their own identity (as, for example, the Apostle Paul did).
