July Update

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and support as we prepare to move to Europe. This is a quick update with some important information…

Moving/storage — We successfully moved in with Corrie’s mother on June 24. It was a little sad to say goodbye to our Hatfield apartment; we enjoyed our thirteen months there and appreciated having Benj’s mother next door. They say that “home is where the heart is,” and we have left parts of our hearts scattered throughout the Bucks-Mont area (how’s that for a gruesome image?). Daniel said, “When we come back from Lithuania, let’s try to buy this house.”

Appliances for sale — We are still hoping to sell our washing machinedryer, one AC window unit (10,000 BTU/hr), and printer/scanner. Please contact us if you are interested.

Departure — We will be flying out of Newark, NJ on August 1, arriving at Palanga International Airport on August 2. We will live on campus for a few weeks until our new apartment is available.

Visit Us — We are having an open house at Claudia’s home in Perkasie on July 29, 2-6pm. Light refreshments will be served. If you are in the area, please stop by and visit with us before we go.

Spread the word — Please share the news of our work with others who would be interested in praying for us and/or supporting us. If you think your church, small group, or a circle of friends would be interested in hearing about our ministry, we would love to present at some point–please email or call Benj (267-945-7354). Upcoming church visits: First Presbyterian Church, Norristown, PA (July 9); First Presbyterian Church, Mt. Holly, NJ (July 16).

Financial support — Please consider becoming part of our regular support team. If you cannot commit to regular support, please also consider making a one-time donation toward the other needs below. For more information on how to support our ministry, click here, or contact me directly.

Some companies (including Merck, Johnson & Johnson, Exxon Mobil, Dow Chemical, and others) match contributions made by employees or retirees to qualifying charitable foundations. If you would like your company to match your contribution to the LCC International Fund on our behalf, please contact us directly for more information.

Regular Support Commitments Goal: $17,576/year ($1,465/month)
Committed/Received: $13,040/year ($1,087/month)
Non-LCC Teaching and Preaching Travel (Including Ukraine course) Goal: $1580
Received: $600
Outfitting Fund (one-time expenses) Goal: $4,368

Please contact us if you have any questions about these needs. We appreciate those of you who are praying for our family through this time of transition and tumult. God continues to be faithful.
