Sermon: So That It May Go Well With You

This is the video of a sermon delivered at First Presbyterian Church of Endicott, NY on June 24 entitled, “So That It May Go Well With You.” The text was Deuteronomy 4:5-13.

Here is an excerpt:

The Law is not just a rule book dropped out of heaven. The Law comes in the context of a story, YHWH God’s plan to redeem and rescue the world by calling a special people. As we seek to understand God’s Law from the scriptures, and as we communicate God’s truth to people who don’t share our beliefs: let’s never forget to underscore that God’s principles (the Law) and God’s story (culminating in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ) go hand-in-hand.

This was quite good. I appreciate your “large” definition of the Law and its place in the life of believers across time.
